A look inside Google's new Canadian engineering HQ

Take a look inside Google’s new amazing Canadian Headquarters. Google officially opened the new headquarters for its Canadian engineering and development team Thursday, January 14th, with a visit from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The new 185,000 square foot office, located in Kitchener, Ontario, features a multitude of unique high-tech spaces, designed specifically for Google Canada employees, also known as “Canooglers”.

The office includes: The blue library with a secret door and workspace, accessed by pulling a secret book off the shelf. A climbing wall so you can climb when you're working on a problem. A full service cafeteria equipped with a full-time chef to keep Canooglers fed. Five staffed micro kitchens that offer many snacks as well as coffee for free. Google's caricature wall features every employee with their own caricature after working with google for at least three years. The office even has a gym, which includes an on-staff trainer, teaching classes and overseeing employee workouts. There is also a games room for staff equipped with arcade games, a foosball table and board games.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the office has just so much to see. Companies worldwide could benefit by looking at what Google is doing, and adopt their ideas on creative spaces.
