Canadian Teens Rude As Heck about Being Rescued From an Ice Floe
Two rude Canadian teens were seen floating down the Otonabee River on an ice floe, mocking and yelling obscenities to bystanders who were trying to get them help. As Ontario firefighters rushed to rescue them from the ice floe, they said the rescue crew should “fuck off” and let them continue on.
Strangely enough, the two boys had a laptop computer with them and were using branches to steer.
A passerby called 911, and the duo continued to pose for pictures and yell obscenities at people as they floated by.
Police said the two teenagers were not from the Peterborough area and were unaware of the danger ahead. Apparently they were unaware that they were drifting away at a rapid rate towards an oncoming damn and power station, further down the Otonabee River in Peterborough, Ont.
Finally, as a crowd began to gather, the boys reluctantly got into the firefighters’ life raft. Police said the boys got a stern talking to, but were then let go without any charges.
At least seven firefighters were part of the rescue, as well as police and ambulance who arrived at the scene.
